Julie initially obtained a Psychology degree, after which she decided to pursue a career in law and qualified as a solicitor in 2004. She then joined the family team which then became Family Law Group in 2005, helping shape the team to what it is now.
Julie is a Non Executive Director and Supervisor, previously being in charge of the Civil Legal Advice team which then became Family Law Direct.
She has extensive experience in private law children matters both for legally aided and private clients and is a member of the Advanced Family Law Panel.
Clients will say that Julie is approachable, thorough and conscientious; exploring every avenue to ensure that her clients receive the best possible outcome. Her calm manner quickly puts clients at ease enabling her to quickly get to the root of any disputes.
She is aware that court proceedings can be stressful, especially when there are ongoing issues between the parents; Julie aims to ensure that this is as straightforward as possible for the client and that the children remain at the heart of any decision made.
Julie enjoys that no two days are the same and the challenges that children proceedings can bring.
Outside of her career, Julie likes to travel, is an avid skier and enjoys spending time with her family.
