Sarah is a Solicitor and joined Family Law Group as a Consultant Solicitor in January 2020, before accepting an employed position in August 2020. She works in Cambridgeshire and the surrounding areas on all aspects of LGBT matters, and Children Law matters.
Sarah trained at a local Cambridge firm that specialised in children law and qualified as a Solicitor in 2006. She also worked as a locum for six years, to include specialising in all aspects of children law matters. Sarah embarked on a career in law because she enjoys being a voice for people in what can be a challenging legal arena.
She enjoys helping people find a way to resolve disputes and move on to new chapters in their lives, alongside helping clients reach a resolution during challenging times. Family disputes often involve a lot of emotion and Sarah’s aim is to be on hand to help her clients find a way through. Sarah’s experience includes:

- Child Arrangement Order applications
- Special Guardianship Order applications
- Prohibited Steps Order and Specific Issue Order applications
- Discharge of Care Order applications
- Contact with children in care applications
- Applications for permission to oppose adoption
Sarah enjoys undertaking her own court work when possible. She prides herself on being approachable, friendly and understanding whilst providing her clients with jargon-free legal advice. She is continuing to build on her work in relation to same sex couples. She recently provided a webcast interview to Bourn Hall and assisted Anglia Ruskin University law students in advising a local LGBTQ Trust. She strives to achieve positive feedback from her clients, and recently this has included the following:

Outside of her career, Sarah is a keen musician and plays in a local orchestra, in addition to taking on the role of orchestra librarian. She also enjoys spending time with her children.
