Marta joined Family Law Group in December 2016, and is a Legal Executive. She works out of our Nottingham and Peterborough offices and specialises in public and private law children matters.
Marta achieved a Masters Degree from Poland in English Philology in 2000. She then went on to study for her LLB Law degree, which she completed at Lincoln University in 2013. During her studies Marta worked as a Polish Interpreter for the Police and Court service.
Upon graduation, she gained family law legal experience with a Lincoln firm of solicitors covering all areas of private and public law children and divorce matters. During this time she also ran an advice clinic providing legal advice for Polish speaking people.
Her interest in family law was sparked whilst working as an interpreter. Having joined Family Law Group, Marta has continued to gain experience in children and divorce cases.
Alongside her Degree, Marta has a Level 6 Diploma in Public Service Interpreting and is a Member of CiLEx.
Marta has worked with a diverse range of people throughout her career and her interpreting skills mean that she is good at building working relationships with clients. She is highly professional in her approach possessing both empathy and passion for obtaining the right outcomes for her clients. Marta enjoys the variety of work and an ever changing environment that a career in this legal field provides, alongside the challenge of juggling many different tasks.
Outside of work Marta relaxes by reading fiction from many different authors. She enjoys time with her family and enjoys travelling abroad to visit her extended family in Poland.
