Charlotte is an Associate Solicitor and joined Family Law Group in September 2019. She works with clients throughout Cambridge, Peterborough and London and specialises in public and private law children matters and care proceedings.
Having achieved a 2:1 in her law degree at UCL in London in 2007, Charlotte then went on to achieve a distinction in her LPC at the College of Law in Bloomsbury, London.
Charlotte has over nine years of experience working in family law and has been passionate about social justice for even longer. Her decision to follow a career in family law was steered further through personal experience, and she also very much enjoyed the family law LPC elective. Both of these gave her a new perspective on how she could help people go through extremely difficult situations more easily.
The one thing that Charlotte is very proud of in her work is the feedback that she receives from clients, as she really cares about the work that she does and will always go the extra mile for them. For her clients, this translates into a better outcome and the knowledge that she is fighting for their rights. Charlotte says that she is; “committed to helping people through emotionally fraught situations and taking as much stress out of their situation as possible.”
To further support her legal experience and interests, Charlotte is on the Law Society Children Panel and is a Resolution Accredited Specialist in Domestic Abuse and Children Law. In 2015, she was a finalist in the Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year (LALY) Awards in the category of Children’s Rights, and has been a Legal 500 solicitor. She was a committee member of Young Legal Aid Lawyers from 2008 to 2015.
Outside of her career, Charlotte enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Charlotte also has dual French and UK nationality, and so is fluent in French. She has undertaken additional qualifications in order to work towards being completely bilingual.
