Marie Gallacher

Senior Associate

Marie qualified as a solicitor in 2004 having initially trained with a local firm in Northampton. In 2011 Marie joined the team at the Wellingborough office as an Associate Solicitor.  Marie is now a Senior Associate of the firm and is the Head of the Wellingborough office and is also Chairperson of South Midlands Resolution.

Marie is a member of the Advanced Family Law Panel (specialising in domestic abuse and children law).  She is also an accredited Mediator who is able to undertake both private and Legal Aid mediation.  Marie can also provide direct consultation services with children in the mediation process.

In both her mediation and legal practice, her experience has included cases involving significant pensions, mogul properties and companies.  Marie has also dealt with a number of high conflict Children Act cases.

Whilst Marie deals with all aspects of family matters, she is a specialist in divorce, financial matters upon and cohabitation breakdowns.

Marie has made a number of radio appearances and has organised a number of funding raising events to benefit local charities in the region.

When not practising family law, Marie’s time is mainly occupied by her two young children.  Marie also organises events at her son’s school as part of the Friends of the School Team.

Whist Marie is no longer able to play rugby herself, which she previously did for Wellingborough Ladies Rugby Team, her son now plays rugby and Marie remains an integral member of the Wellingborough Rugby Club.

In her roles as Senior Associate, Head of Office and accredited Mediator Marie firmly believes in striving to achieve the right result for the family with as little conflict as possible for all those involved and affected by the breakdown of the family unit.
