Liman joined Family Law Group in October 2015 and in March 2017, was promoted to Trainee Solicitor. He works out of both our Nottingham and Loughborough offices and is quickly establishing a reputation for his professional approach and dedication to his clients.

Liman specialises in public and private law children matters and injunctions. 

Liman obtained a 2:1 in his LLB Law & Business Studies degree, from the University of Lincoln. During his undergraduate studies, Liman set up an educational programme known as the Street Law Project. He visited local colleges to speak to students about a career in law and what that would entail. Liman then went to Nottingham Law School to complete his Legal Practice Course, where he was awarded a distinction.

Prior to joining Family Law Group, Liman worked in London to gain some initial legal experience and then joined the in house legal team of a local authority working on family law cases, in particular care proceedings.

Liman is passionate about his work and has a particular aptitude for being able to relate to clients and provide them with a child-focused advice. Liman is dedicated and committed to achieving excellent outcomes for his clients and their families by presenting their case in a robust, compelling and persuasive way through effective negotiation and when necessary through court action.

For Liman, the most rewarding part of his job is helping people who are facing difficult issues and obtaining good outcomes for them. He also likes to contribute to the overall performance of the firm.

Over the coming months, Liman will be developing an advice surgery at the Islamic Centre in Nottingham and the Central Mosque in Leicester. He is a regular contributor to Family Law blogs in the firm and writes papers on legal matters. Liman also assists in the running of the advice surgery at the Loughborough office.

In his spare time, Liman enjoys playing and watching football, running, reading and taking part in charity events to raise money in support of organisations that work with disabled children. Liman also mentors and works with young care leavers assisting them with job searches, advising them in relation to career options and completing applications for college and university places as well as providing them with on going guidance and support. Liman is currently learning Arabic, is fluent in Albanian and has completed level 1 in Spanish and French. Additionally, Liman enjoys writing and is currently writing a book about his native country Albania. A further enthusiasm of his is travelling. Liman has spent time in Belgium, Cyprus, France, Greece, Italy, Montenegro and Tunisia, which has enabled him to explore new cultures and meet new people.
