Suzanne is an Associate Solicitor and joined Family Law Group in October 2022. She works out of our Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds offices and specialises in public law children cases representing parents and children in care proceedings and adoption cases. Suzanne also provides legal help to parents when social services are involved but the matter has not gone to court with the aim of preventing the need for care proceedings (commonly referred to as the PLO).
Suzanne is very experienced in this area of law having qualified as a solicitor in 2005 specialising in family law, practicing in London and Kent. She began her legal career studying for the Post Graduate Diploma in Law at City University, London before completing the Legal Practice Course at Inns of Court School of Law, London. She is a member of the Law Society Children Law Accreditation Scheme. She has been working across Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire since 2015 after moving to the region.
Suzanne is dedicated to providing legal support to people at a time of crisis, ensuring their voices are heard and helping them to find solutions to complex problems. Her aim is to ensure her clients feel comfortable in the relationship they have with their solicitor so they feel confident in discussing often distressing issues. Suzanne wants her clients to be confident that they will receive clear, accurate advice and that they will be helped to achieve the best outcome possible for them and their children. Suzanne conducts her own advocacy as often as she can to ensure consistency in each case.
In her free time Suzanne enjoys long distance walking and ice skating.
