Jaydene is a Solicitor and joined Family Law Group in January 2019. She works out of the Bedford and Northampton office. Jaydene specialises in care proceedings and private law children matters. She has a diverse caseload consisting of non-accidental injuries, female genital mutilation and forced marriages. Jaydene is experienced in representing clients during the PLO pre-proceedings and negotiating with the Local Authority to avoid the initiation of care proceeding.
Having achieved a 2:1 in her law degree at the University of Newcastle in 2018, Jaydene went on to achieve a distinction for the Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School in 2021. Jaydene joined Family Law Group as a Paralegal within the Civil Legal Advice team before progressing to the children’s team where she was awarded a training contact. Jaydene has been awarded the degree of Master of Laws with Distinction in 2022.
Family law has always been an area of interest to Jaydene as she wants to help provide support through a process which is understandably emotionally challenging. Jaydene is passionate about building a good rapport with her clients and being approachable at all times. Jaydene ensure her clients feel heard and is committed to achieving the best outcome in every case. She achieves this by actively listening to clients which in turn allows her to determine the appropriate way forward in respect of the specific issues. Jaydene understands that every case is unique and uses her calm approach to assure clients that she is determined to act in their best interest.
Where possible, Jaydene will conduct her own advocacy throughout the proceedings, to enable her to have comprehensive understanding of the case. This allows clients to be confident that no stone will be left unturned and careful, considerate, and intentional action will be taken to achieve the desired outcome.
Jaydene is knowledgeable in respect of Legal Aid and has extensive experience preparing applications.
Outside of her career, Jaydene plays competitive netball and has previously played at an international level. Jaydene also enjoys socialising with her friends and family.
